This trail is the most popular in "Monte" because it serves as the gateway to all other paths and offers a simple, enjoyable walk. It's suitable for everyone, requiring no special skills.
The mostly flat trail, with a few gentle inclines, begins at the Park entrance behind the Hotel. It passes under the less-than-attractive Rai antenna and reaches Gaixella in about 5 minutes.
This small area, a junction for several trails (Semaforo Nuovo, Semaforo Vecchio, San Rocco), features benches, wooden tables, and a drinking water tap.
Continue along the wide, shaded path for an easy walk to Pietre Strette, the heart of Monte di Portofino.
