Paraggi
Bay between Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, surrounded by the slopes of Monte
Paraggi is a small bay with sandy beaches and clear waters, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. The village retains traces of its fishing community heritage, now developed as a seaside resort that also attracts divers.
Paraggi is a small bay surrounded by the vegetation of "Monte", situated between Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino.
The settlement consists of a small cluster of residential houses, once inhabited by fishermen and millers; an ancient castle (dating to around 1626), at the eastern end, now a private residence; a nightclub and several upscale restaurants.
Paraggi is known above all for its emerald-coloured sea and its small beaches (some equipped with facilities, some free), which make it a highly sought-after seaside destination and a favourite spot for divers.
Regular bus service connects the bay to Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, the latter also reachable on foot via the Paraggi-Portofino coastal path, also known as "La passeggiata de baci", a route running through vegetation parallel to the main road.
During peak season and weekends, finding a space in the only paid car park is difficult, so driving is not recommended.
