Val Petronio

The Val Petronio, located inland from Sestri Levante in Liguria, is a valley rich in natural and cultural charm, stretching between lush mountains and characteristic villages.
Among the main localities are Casarza Ligure, perhaps the most important center after Sestri Levante, Castiglione Chiavarese, known for its panoramic location and rural atmosphere, Velva, a small village immersed in greenery, and Bargone, nestled among woods and ancient mule tracks.

The Petronio stream crosses the valley, giving the landscape a sense of freshness and vitality. The Val Petronio is a popular destination for trekking enthusiasts, with trails leading to peaks such as Monte Treggin, Monte Roccagrande, or Monte Alpe, offering breathtaking views of the Gulf of Tigullio and the Apennine mountain range.
