The trail kicks off on Via San Bartolomeo (20m above sea level), a small lane at the end of the parking lot near the Carabinieri station, initially following the Gentile stream . The path climbs steadily, mostly on steps (around 900), winding through olive groves and high walls that conceal beautiful villas, and emerges at the churchyard of San Rocco Church (220m above sea level).
Leaving San Rocco, we embark on one of the most scenic routes on the promontory, though it can be quite demanding in parts....
