This trail is straightforward and takes you through the Sturla Valley , a beautiful area just a 30-minute drive from Chiavari.
Start at Villa Jensi , a small cluster of houses a few bends past Bertigaro on Provincial Road 586 towards Santo Stefano D'Aveto. You can park just before the bend.
There's a drinking water tap here, the only one on the route (another is at Passo delle Lame, but the water quality there isn't great). Pass the houses and follow the wooden sign pointing to "Lago di Giacopiane."...
