Easy hike from Santa Margherita Ligure to Portofino, following the trails of the Portofino Park.

The trail starts in front of the entrance to the tourist harbor of Santa Margherita Ligure (behind the gas station), following a route that climbs along Via Montebello, a paved road that winds between houses for about 300 meters before becoming a trail; a walk of about 20 minutes that ends near the chapel of the Madonna della Neve in Nozarego after a अंतिम stretch through terraced fields.

Follow the paved road for about 100 meters to the right, until you reach, on the left, a cobbled path that climbs between villas with gardens and dry-stone walls, quickly reconnecting with the path coming from the church of Nozarego, then continuing on a flat section with views over the gulf and the Abbey of Cervara.

You then reach the Cappelletta delle Gave, where a small yellow chapel stands next to a house, at a junction of several trails; a very steep descent (at the beginning there is a drinking water tap) on cobblestones goes down through terraces and reeds, then continues with a staircase between high walls, reaching the Paraggi parking area after about 20 minutes.

At the end of the small village, a staircase leads to the Paraggi–Portofino pedestrian path, renamed Via dei Baci, a very well-maintained trail that runs alongside the road but is completely surrounded by greenery.
After a few meters, for those who wish to make a detour, in 10 minutes it is possible to climb to the Eremo di Niasca, where you can eat and stay overnight.

Our itinerary, however, continues along the main path, mostly flat with a few short ups and downs, passing in front of some villas.
As you get closer, the view of Portofino becomes increasingly breathtaking, until you descend in front of the parish church of San Martino, the yellow-and-grey striped church, and enter the heart of the most famous Ligurian village in the world.
