This loop trail begins in Pieve Ligure, a scenic spot in Golfo Paradiso, easily reached by train.
Start at the train station. Head left along the State Road for about 100 meters, then turn right onto Scalinata Campetto. This pedestrian path winds through houses and emerges onto Via Besso, a quiet secondary road. Follow it to the right, leading to Via Roma, the main road connecting Pieve Bassa to Pieve Alta. In minutes, you'll reach the Church of San Michele Arcangelo.
The square offers bars, shops, and public toilets.
From the churchyard, turn right and take the staircase up Via Massone
. Continue right as it becomes Via Teriasca, until a hairpin bend reveals a path starting with steps descending into Mediterranean scrub.
Ignore side paths and follow the main trail through the forest, mostly level, until you reach the first houses of Teriasca, a small hamlet of Sori.
Before heading left, consider a short detour to the right to explore the village and find a drinking water tap near the churchyard.
Back at the junction, follow wooden signs to Santa Croce.
Climb through the countryside for about 15 minutes to reach the picturesque San Rocco Chapel, with its distinctive blue color, perfect for a lunch break.
When the path forks a few meters ahead, keep right, following trail marker
. The path opens up and becomes sunnier, connecting to the ridge trail at Sella Cremuexi, a crossroads of several trails.
To reach Santa Croce, our next stop, continue left on the trail marked with
. This sometimes rocky path takes about 15 minutes to reach Monte Santa Croce (518 meters), home to a church and a refuge.
From the summit, enjoy sweeping views of the Ligurian coast from the Promontory of Portofino to Genoa and beyond.
To continue the loop, retrace your steps back to Sella Cremuexi. At the junction, this time, keep left towards Bogliasco, following trail marker

Descend through some uneven sections to a stone terrace called Rotonda di Martin. Continue downhill as the path becomes a paved road, crossing the hamlet of San Bernardo.
At the church, follow trail marker
and turn left for a pleasant, panoramic walk on level ground towards Pieve Alta.
To explore new areas, turn right onto Via Banchero, leaving the main trail. Descend along the "Sentiero Liguria"
, then turn left onto Via Consiglieri for a few meters. Find a "Creuze" on the right, descending towards the sea.
Cross Via alla Chiesa and Via Roma, continuing down through scenic houses until Via Besso.
Turn left, rejoining Scalinata Campetto, which leads back to the starting point and completes the loop.
