Short and easy route to reach the Semaforo Vecchio area, the highest point of the Portofino Park.
The starting point is Portofino Vetta, reachable from Ruta di Camogli by following Via Gaggino; before the hotel there is a convenient area where you can park.

Enter the park behind the hotel and continue for about 200 meters to reach Gaixella. Pass the first right turn to San Rocco di Camogli, and you'll find a well-marked trail leading to Semaforo Vecchio.

The trail takes about 35 minutes to reach the summit. It ascends through a forest with distinctive puddingstone rock outcrops.

Semaforo Vecchio, now renovated as a shelter, sits in a meadow surrounded by large trees, offering shade on sunny summer days. The area has wooden benches, tables, and a non-potable water tap for refreshment, plus a room with a brazier.

Behind the Semaforo, access a stunning viewpoint, the Frank Sinatra Terrace, named for its sweeping views of the Gulf of Paradiso, the Gulf of Tigullio, and the hinterland where Lumarzo, the singer's mother's birthplace, is located.

From here, descend towards Pietre Strette or continue to Toca and Semaforo Nuovo.
