The hiking heritage that Portofinotrek has been promoting through this website for years will now be the protagonist of a Festival that will unite the Municipalities of the Gulf of Tigullio and Gulf Paradiso (Camogli, Rapallo, Recco, Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, Zoagli) from May 2nd to May 7th, 2023, to enhance this part of the territory that rises from the sea towards the surrounding peaks, surrounded by a wonderfully unique scenery.
From an idea by Marco Fenelli, with project and coordination by Alessandra Rotta, the Festival dei Sentieri (Festival of Trails) is born, a week full of events for adults and children, to talk about "trails" in the broadest sense of the term, and experience them directly by participating in hikes with varying levels of difficulty that will be organized daily.
In addition, there will be meetings with personalities related to the world of hiking, including one with Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, the first woman in the world to climb all 14 mountains over 8,000 meters high, which will be held at the Circolo Golf e tennis Rapallo.
Consulting the program, the entire day dedicated to the extraordinary opening of the Bridge of Hannibal in Rapallo, which was left without its function after a hydraulic engineering work changed the face of the western part of the city by diverting the course of the Boate stream in 1823, captures attention.
The mascot Sally, the spectacle-wearing salamander that lives in Rio Tujia, created graphically by the Genoese Cartoonist Enzo Marciante and made three-dimensional by the visual artist Giozu, will accompany the entire event and will be placed in all participating municipalities.
To participate in the hikes, it is necessary to register by April 30th, 2023, by filling out the following form.
